Garage Workshop
Since 2004 The Jubilee Foundation has been involved with a Garage Workshop in Accra, Ghana. Instructors from the UK have traveled out to train mechanics and teach good workshop practice and safety for the workplace several times over the years. Hand tools and garage equipment have been donated and shipped out to the project.
Initially this project was based on land owned by the local university and changes to the building could not be made. In 2005 a plot of land was purchased. This project has slowly developed, and, after many delays building will start in 2008/9 for a new garage facility on this land. The new facility will include car ramps and car lifts – making it a modern workshop, which is much needed in the area.
